You’ve been journaling your whole life.
Notes, to-do lists, 2 a.m. thoughts — it all counts. Meridian finally gives them a home. Every entry becomes a star in your own night sky, and showing up for yourself becomes something you can see.

Blockers force you out. Meridian invites you in.
App blockers slam a door and leave you staring at a countdown. Meridian asks for a moment of honesty instead: when your wind-down time arrives, your chosen apps go quiet — and in place of a wall, you get a question. Write a few true sentences and you’re free, usually calmer than you arrived.
- You pick the apps and the hours — locking is entirely optional
- A thoughtful prompt instead of a timer
- Unlock by reflecting, not by white-knuckling
Instagram is resting. Complete your journal entry to unlock your apps.

Written down, it weighs less.
Some days you just need to get it out of your head. Open Meridian, say it plainly, and watch the tangle turn into sentences you can actually look at. No audience, no judgment — just you, understanding yourself a little better.
- Staring at a blank page? A gentle prompt gets you started
- Talk it out — voice notes become written entries
- Attach photos and moments from your day
- Tag where you were when it mattered
Show up daily. Keep the proof.
Meridian rewards consistency the way it deserves: not with points, but with a life you can revisit.

Your week, read back to you
Streaks and stats show you showed up — 7/7 days feels as good as it looks. Then the weekly recap goes further: it reads your week and reflects the through-line back to you, so the habit compounds into self-knowledge.

A running record of who you were
Entry #172 means 172 days you can return to. Scroll back to who you were in March. Watch themes surface and constellations form. This is the real reward for consistency: your life, kept.
Not just a habit. Medicine.
Doctors and researchers have recommended reflective writing for decades. Meridian turns the findings into a practice you'll actually return to.
“Expressive writing for just 15–20 minutes reduced intrusive thoughts and improved working memory.”
“Spending 5 minutes writing a to-do list before bed helped participants fall asleep significantly faster.”
“Participants who wrote about emotional experiences visited the doctor 43% fewer times.”
A habit worth being proud of.
Runners share their runs. Journalers should get to share their practice. Add friends, cheer each other’s streaks, and keep the habit alive together — while what you actually wrote stays yours alone.
- Friends see streaks and milestones — never a word of your entries
- Send kudos when someone shows up for themselves
- Join a circle and keep each other consistent
Streaks are social. Entries are private. Always.

What early journalers are saying on the App Store.
Concept
Really good concept and actually helpful in terms of staying consistent.
Very impressed!
The UI is very good. It's so satisfying to complete a journal. I highly recommend downloading this app. It helps you reflect each and every day which is very beneficial.
Simple to Use, Entertaining.
Simple to use, straightforward. I'm a fan of the UI. Would recommend to others looking to journal or stay focused. No issues or bugs to report.

Love the aesthetic
Literally the prettiest app on my phone rn. Love how the journals are like stars in a galaxy. Plus the lock feature is super helpful for keeping me consistent. Highly recommend!
One of the most unique and rewarding ways to journal
I never really got into journaling before, but Meridian actually made it feel easy and kind of fun. I like that every note turns into a star in your galaxy, so it feels like you're slowly building something while keeping track of your thoughts. It helped me realize how nice it is to look back on old notes and see what was on my mind at different points in time.

Very Interesting app!
Super cool concept. There is finally a journaling app that is not a passive container. My journal entries are saved somewhere and it's meaningful as opposed to the standard journaling apps where ur entries collect dust in a folder. Very creative UI design. Looking at it with an open mind, the sky is the limit for its potential.
Great modern gamification of journaling!
I've been into journaling (on paper) since I was in college years ago and this app is really the first digital journaling tool I've actually enjoyed. The stars/constellation concept is cool, and really aesthetically pleasing, but I also really like that I can still view my entries in a more standard list format. Also, AI can sort entries into groups by topic or I can manually organize my entries into groups, another feature that I really like. There is a feature that locks your apps until an entry is written — while I am not really into this particular aspect, I do like that it can help build discipline for beginners. I also dislike that there are in app purchases, but honestly it's super cheap and some of the customization options are nice. Even without the pro version, the in-store currency can be earned by journaling, which I love! Overall, for an app that I believe is only a few months old, it's super unique and has more useful features than average journaling app. It's obviously not the same as writing on paper, but for an online journaling app, it's both functional and intuitive while the UI is very well designed. There is plenty of room for improvements, and some bugs here and there, but the sky is the limit for Meridian and I will continue to use the app as they develop.
